Our Newest Program

If your dog is going to keep up with your lifestyle, they need to be trained for it. That's exactly what this program does.

Four weeks. Real trails, real distractions, real exposure — hiking, trail running, biking, skiing, and even paddle boarding.

Your dog will come home with reliable recall around wildlife, strangers, and other dogs, and the off leash manners to make every adventure better.

Dogs showing aggression or reactivity aren't quite ready for this one yet — our Behavior Modification program is where they'll need to start, and we'll get them there.

Program Structure

1. Basic Obedience Training. Your dog will stay with us for 4 weeks, during which we will cover basic on- and off-leash obedience, proper socialization around people and dogs, and confidence building in new environments. Part of our adventure is real adventures. Your dog will go hiking, paddleboarding, skiing, mountain biking, or whatever seasonal outdoor adventures are available. Our training process starts with building a relationship with your dog, teaching it clear obedience and behavioral expectations, and remaining consistent and fair with our expectations and communication.
2. Training Generalization. Once we have established a good relationship and taught your dog clear expectations for the behaviors that we train, that's when the adventuring begins. When necessary we also teach skills specific to our adventures such as, running along a bike, keeping up with skiis, balancing on paddleboard.
3. Graduation & Follow-Up Support. Once your dog is ready to graduate, we will teach you everything that you need to know to maintain and continue the training during our graduation send-home session. After graduation, you can enjoy an obedient dog that can be trusted in nearly any situation. You'll have access to three follow-up sessions with our trainers within the first year of graduation, unlimited phone and email follow up support, and access to our alumni exclusive boarding services.

What Your Dog Will Learn

After completing our adult comprehensive obedience program, your dog will be capable of the following skills on- and off-leash:

• Sit, down & stay
• Recall (come when called)
• Leash manners
• Heel (walk next to your right side without pulling or lagging)
• Bed stay (we use this skill a lot during eating meals and when guests come over)
• Crate & potty training
• Proper etiquette with people & appropriate interactions with other dogs
• Waiting at doors & respectfully going through doorways
• Improved confidence in new environments
• Impulse control & focus around any distraction

Who Is This Program For?

This program is for families who want a well trained companion with the addition of skills related to outdoor sports. It's also great for families who want to send their dog off to a board and train and would like their dog to also go on adventures through the program.

Please note that our Adventure Board and Train program does NOT cover aggression and/or reactivity towards people and dogs. If your dog struggles with these issues, we recommend our behavior modification board and train program. The addition of the adventure program is an option for all dogs who are completing the Behavior Modification course.

Obedience training opens up a dog's world to a wide range of experiences that may otherwise not be possible, enjoyable or safe, such as hikes and public outings. Our team is committed to improve owner-dog quality of life and relationship by giving owners and their dogs the tools to clearly communicate and live a fuller life.
